PM2.5: ผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพและกลไกการเกิดพิษ (2562)

บทคัดย่อ:
มลภาวะทางอากาศซึ่งส่งผลร้ายต่อสุขภาพประชาชนชาวไทยเป็นอย่างมากในขณะนี้คือ PM2.5 หรือฝุ่นละอองขนาดเล็กที่มีเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางไม่เกิน 2.5 ไมครอน อันเกิดจากการเผาในที่โล่ง โรงงานอุตสาหกรรม การขนส่ง รวมถึงจากที่พักอาศัย โดย PM2.5 มีกลไกที่สำคัญในการเกิดพิษคือก่อให้เกิดภาวะเครียดออกซิเดชันและกระตุ้นกระบวนการอักเสบของร่างกาย ปัจจุบันมีงานวิจัยหลายฉบับซึ่งแสดงถึงผลกระทบของ PM2.5 ในบรรยากาศต่อสุขภาพของมนุษย์ โดยฝุ่นละอองขนาดเล็กนี้มีผลเสียต่อระบบทางเดินหายใจเป็นหลัก รวมถึงระบบหัวใจและหลอดเลือด ระบบประสาทส่วนกลางและเพิ่มความเสี่ยงในการเกิดมะเร็งปอดได้ ซึ่งจำเป็นต้องมีการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมถึงผลกระทบของ PM2.5 ต่อสุขภาพมนุษย์ในด้านอื่นๆ ในอนาคต เพื่อให้เข้าใจและหลีกเลี่ยงมลภาวะดังกล่าวได้อย่างถูกต้องต่อไป
